Otto Matic for Linux

Save the Earth from the clutches of the Giant Brain from Planet X

Overview

Otto Matic is an action game available for Linux that puts you in the role of a robot trying to save Earth.

The story takes place in 1957 when flying saucers from Planet X, controlled by evil Brain Aliens, start abducting humans.

These humans are taken to strange alien worlds to serve The Giant Brain.

As Otto Matic, you must stop these aliens, rescue humans, and bring peace back to the galaxy.

The game features 10 levels set on unusual alien planets.

Each planet offers different challenges and gameplay elements.

You will face 25 types of alien enemies and get to use 7 different space-age weapons.

Unique game mechanics include riding soap bubbles, skiing on toxic ooze, piloting flying saucers, and escaping on zip-lines.

You will also collect rocket fuel to move between planets and teleport rescued humans to your rocket ship.

Although Otto Matic was originally released in 2001, this version is a Linux port made with permission from the original developer, Pangea Software.

It does not include major modern updates, so the graphics and gameplay might feel outdated.

The game’s categories list it as a general action game, but it might be less visible on some platforms due to limited category details.

Otto Matic offers a safe experience for Linux users who enjoy classic action games with a mix of fun and diverse gameplay in a sci-fi setting.
