Cantara for Linux

Cantara is a song presentation software designed for Linux.

It is mainly used for showing song lyrics and slides in churches, small groups, or karaoke events.

Cantara is lightweight and fast, taking up less than 10 MB of space.

Because it uses the built-in tools of the operating system, it can run well on older computers, low-power devices like the Raspberry Pi, and other simple setups.

This software is easy to use.

It supports common input formats like CCLI SongSelect files, allowing users to create song slides quickly.

The interface is straightforward, making it simple to prepare presentations in a few steps.

Cantara also works well with other presentation programs because it can export slides in PPTX format.

This means you can open your Cantara presentations in LibreOffice Impress or Microsoft PowerPoint.

It also supports multi-screen displays, which is helpful for larger events or live streaming setups with programs like OBS.

You can change colors, fonts, and even add background images with adjustable brightness and transparency to make slides clear and attractive.

Cantara supports two languages at once, so you can show or export songs in multiple languages if needed.

It exports files in various formats, such as pictures, text, HTML pages, and messages for sharing in chat apps.

As a free and open-source program under the GPL-3 license, Cantara has no costs or restrictions tied to companies.

While still a young project, it is used worldwide and continuously improved with translations and new features planned for the future.

Overall, Cantara is a practical choice for users seeking secure and efficient song presentation software on Linux that works well even on low-end devices.
