Sharks Empire: English for Linux

Sharks Empire: English is a vocabulary learning app designed for Linux users.

It helps you study English words using flashcards in a clear and organized way.

The app divides the vocabulary into groups and smaller subgroups, with each subgroup containing up to 10 words.

This setup helps you learn in smaller, manageable sections.

Each word is linked to a single part of speech and comes with a translation that changes depending on the context, but note that translations are available only in Russian.

There are three learning modes to choose from: Overview, Practice, and Exam.

In Overview mode, translations are shown immediately to help you get familiar with the words.

In Practice and Exam modes, translations only appear after you press a button.

This encourages more active recall while learning.

After finishing a session, the app shows all your mistakes so you can review and understand where you went wrong.

Sharks Empire uses a self-evaluation system that assigns points to each word based on how well you remember it.

This scoring helps track your progress as you study.

The Exam mode is more challenging because it allows only one mistake to pass, making it stricter than other modes.

This can help users aiming for higher accuracy but could feel difficult for some.

In summary, Sharks Empire: English is a useful tool on Linux for people who want a focused, structured way to learn English vocabulary with Russian translations.

It avoids multiple choice guessing, focusing instead on testing your real knowledge through different learning steps and review.
