Wiremapper for Linux

Wiremapper is a useful tool designed for Linux users who need to test their network cables using Pockethernet hardware.

This application works as a client for the Pockethernet network tester, helping users check their network wiring easily and accurately.

When you insert a wiremap, this mode will automatically run the right tests for that wiremap.

If you have multiple devices paired via Bluetooth, you can switch between them easily using a dropdown menu located at the top of the app.

It shows the Bluetooth device names just like in your regular Bluetooth menu, making device management straightforward.

For larger projects, such as testing the wiring in an entire office building, Wiremapper allows users to create custom tests.

These tests can include multiple result slots to cover different Ethernet outlets.

After testing, you can export the results as a CSV file, which is helpful for analyzing or sharing the data.

The app connects with Pockethernet devices through standard Bluetooth pairing.

You only need to pair once through your system’s Bluetooth settings, and Wiremapper will handle the connection afterward.

Keep in mind that Wiremapper only works on Linux and requires Pockethernet hardware, so it may not be suitable if you use other platforms or do not have the device.

Also, it focuses on basic cable and link testing and does not provide advanced network diagnostics.
